Thanks for all the get well tips! It turns out it's a sinus infection...
Rather funny when the doctor looked into my ear and said "that's got to hurt"... I sat there rather perplexed thinking perhaps he thought he had poked me or something but then he explained what the instead of my head looked like and I understood!
